W. W. Lewis Middle School is one of the largest middle schools in Louisiana at over 120,000 square feet. W.W. Lewis is one of many schools in Calcasieu Parish that was devastated by Hurricane Laura. With repair costs in excess of $20 million, W.W. Lewis Middle School’s campus was one of the more severely damaged sites. Storm repairs included steel framing replacement at the 1,400 seat auditorium, new roof systems which include metal decking throughout, new window and glazing systems, interior finish restorations, and site restorations.
