Chemin-a-haut Bathhouse

This 2,600 sq. ft. pool bathhouse for Chemin-A-Haut State Park in Bastrop, Louisiana consists of a staff office, restrooms, outdoor showers, and a renovated pool deck. The client desired to re-establish the historic nature of the adjacent buildings throughout the park. The bathhouse serves as a secure entrance for the pool and as a place to shower/change before and after using the pool. The cypress timber framing structure utilizes local building materials, while the brick creates a warm exterior that will protect the building for years to come.
